Visual Artist
Anders Herrebaut (Aalst 1999) is a sound maker, a storyteller, a relational art maker, living and working in Ghent. He studied at the KASK and obtained a bachelor and master degree in fine arts.
I am always looking for meaning through art. What does a home mean? How can we come home in sound? These are some of the questions that keep recurring in my practice. I find it fascinating to reflect on the personal and collective narrative. Who am I in the collective narrative and what is the collective narrative in me ? Through archiving, collaborating, creating experiences, collective drawing/painting/sound making/listening together I explore narratives on the concept of being. Throughout my practice, I try to create intimate spaces where art can be explored.
I believe art can bring people together, can connect. Through art, I try to navigate myself through this world, and pen down being.
